Requesting a Quote — Customer Guide
Applies To: [ All Licenses ]
Overview
This article explains how customers submit a quote request for products or services that require a custom price, and what happens after the request is submitted.
When to Request a Quote
A quote is appropriate when:
A product is configured as Quotable rather than directly orderable
You need a custom quantity, size, or specification not covered by the standard calculator
You want a price estimate before committing to an order
Submitting a Quote Request
Browse to the product you want a quote for.
Configure your options using the product calculator.
Instead of Add to Cart, you will see a Request a Quote or Get a Quote button. Click it.
Fill in any additional details or notes requested by the store.
Click Submit Quote Request.
You will receive a confirmation on screen and by email. The quote will appear in your account dashboard under order history with a status of Quote.
What Happens Next
After submitting a quote request, the store will review it and respond with pricing. You will be notified by email when your quote is ready.
To view your quote once it is ready:
Log in and go to My Account > Order History.
Find the quote in your list (status: Quote).
Click the quote number to view the pricing details.
If you wish to proceed, the store can convert the quote to a live order. Contact the store or click any available Approve or Place Order button if shown.
Notes / Tips
Quotes do not reserve inventory or guarantee pricing beyond the expiry date shown on the quote.
If you need to modify a quote request after submission, contact the store directly.
Administrators can manage and convert quotes from the admin panel. See Quoting and Converting to Order.
