Hub-Level Catalog Control and Product Propagation (Hub Only)

Overview

This article explains how Hub operators control the product catalog for their child storefronts — pushing products, managing what storefronts can see, and controlling pricing propagation.

How Catalog Control Works

The Hub maintains the master product catalog. Child storefronts do not manage their own catalog independently — they receive it from the Hub. The Hub operator controls:

  • Which products are available on each storefront

  • Pricing for each storefront (which can be inherited or overridden per storefront)

  • Category structure and rankings

  • Product option sets and values

Pushing Products to Child Storefronts

Auto Push Storefronts

Products and pricing updates made in the Hub catalog are automatically propagated to Auto Push storefronts when saved. No additional action is required.

Manual Push Storefronts

To send catalog updates to a Manual Push storefront:

  1. Log in to your Hub admin at admin.yourwebsiteaddress.com.

  2. Navigate to Catalog and open the product or category you updated.

  3. Click Copy Prices / Copy Images / Copy to Storefront (the available options depend on what you are pushing).

  4. In the Find Storefront field, select the specific storefront or choose All Stores.

  5. Select the type of push (Prices, Images, or both).

  6. Click Confirm.

Controlling Product Visibility Per Storefront

To make a product visible on some storefronts but not others:

  1. Open the product in the Hub catalog.

  2. Locate the Storefront Visibility or Active controls per storefront.

  3. Enable or disable the product for each storefront as needed.

  4. Click Save.

Managing Pricing Overrides

Storefronts can have their own pricing that differs from the Hub's base pricing:

  1. In the Hub admin, navigate to the product and open its pricing.

  2. Look for per-storefront pricing rows or override fields.

  3. Enter storefront-specific prices where needed.

  4. Click Save and push to the relevant storefronts.

Pushing Category Images

To push updated category images to child storefronts:

  1. Navigate to Catalog > Categories in the Hub admin.

  2. Open the category whose image you want to push.

  3. In the Find Storefront field, select the target storefront or All Stores.

  4. Select Copy Images and confirm.

Notes / Tips

  • Hub Only: All catalog propagation is controlled from the Hub. Child storefronts cannot push content upstream to the Hub.

  • When pushing to All Stores, review the impact carefully — all Manual Push storefronts will receive the same update simultaneously.

  • Storefront-level pricing overrides are not overwritten by a Hub push unless you explicitly push pricing to that storefront.
