Trade Network Configuration and Push-to-Vendor Workflow

Overview

This article explains how to configure the Trade Network integration in the Software — connecting to trade print suppliers and using the push-to-vendor workflow to route jobs for fulfillment.

What Is the Trade Network?

The Trade Network allows you to connect your storefront to trade print suppliers and automatically or manually push jobs to them for printing and fulfillment. When a job is pushed to a trade company, the supplier receives the order details and artwork and handles production on your behalf.

Requesting Trade Network API Credentials

Before configuring the Trade Network, you need API credentials from your trade supplier.

  1. Contact your trade print supplier and request API access credentials.

  2. Alternatively, follow the instructions in Requesting Trade Network API Credentials to request credentials through the platform.

Configuring the Trade Network Connection

  1. Log in to your administration panel at admin.yourwebsiteaddress.com.

  2. In the left navigation, click Settings and then Integration Settings.

  3. Locate the Trade Network section.

  4. Enter your API credentials provided by your trade supplier.

  5. Click Save and Test Connection to verify the integration is working.

Pushing a Job to a Trade Company

Once the Trade Network is configured and a vendor is assigned to a product:

  1. Navigate to Orders and open the relevant order.

  2. Locate the job you want to push.

  3. Click Push to Trade Company or the vendor push button for that job.

  4. Confirm the push. The job details and artwork are transmitted to the supplier.

  5. The job status will update to reflect that it has been sent.

Region-Based Vendor Assignment

For Hub operators managing multiple storefronts across different regions, vendors can be assigned based on the storefront's shipping region. This ensures jobs are routed to the most appropriate supplier based on geography.

Notes / Tips

  • Jobs pushed to trade companies are transmitted with the order details and attached artwork. Ensure artwork is approved before pushing.

  • If a push fails, check your API credentials in Integration Settings and confirm your supplier account is active.

  • Hub Only: Hub operators can configure Trade Network settings that apply to all child storefronts. Individual storefronts can also have their own trade network configuration.
