Category Grouping

Category allows you to assign how specific categories will rank when displayed on the website. These categories are meant to be used for larger groupings. (i.e: Business Cards) which can then be divided more granularly. (i.e: Suede Business Cards, Standard Business Cards, etc.) This will allow you to prioritize exactly how items show up on the website’s menus and in turn allows you to draw more attention to the products you want customers to prioritize.

 

Step-By-Step Guide

  1. Login to your administration panel admin.yourwebsiteaddress.com

  2. Click "Catalog"

  3. Click “Category Groups.”

  4. Groups will be displayed in order. There will be a dropdown next to each Category Group that displays the current order. By adjusting this dropdown you can adjust the order they are displayed. Select “Edit” next to the Group if you wish to change its name.

  5. To add a new Group, select the green “Insert Category Group” button at the bottom of the page.
